Con un percorso netto nella coda della Regular Season, con un 4 su 4 equamente distribuito prima al Santa Rita Taranto e poi alla Muraglia Barletta, i ragazzi leccesi hanno centrato un traguardo storico per la LSB. Dal prossimo anno, anche Lecce sarà presente nel basket che conta.

Ma ora e’ solo tempo di festeggiamenti e di ringraziamenti.

Sintetizziamo con il messaggio inviato alla squadra e a tutto il Team da Sandro Laudisa Presidente della LSB, che chiarisce tutte le sensazioni e l’orgoglio di una comunità sportiva sana ed in crescita costante, che festeggia il passaggio nel primo campionato ad organizzazione pugliese.

Ebbene si cari Ragazzi.

Abbiamo portato a termine la “MISSIONE”, come definita sin dall’inizio, con un percorso netto di 4 vittorie su 4 gare nella post-season. Bravissimi tutti.

Mi ha colpito l’affermazione di Daniele Michelutti al termine della gara di ieri, quando ha detto più volte: “mi sarebbe piaciuto giocarne altre 6 o 7 di partite”.

Si, giusto pensiero, perchè quando giochi da squadra, soffri insieme, combatti insieme, respiri insieme, giocare diventa “l’unica cosa che conta”.

Insieme a vincere, of course!

Tutto ciò si è potuto ottenere grazie al supporto dei nostri partner commerciali, con in testa il Principal Sponsor CCEN S.r.l., rappresentato dall’A.D. Sandro Esposito. Grazie al loro appoggio abbiamo potuto centrare questo obiettivo importantissimo e storico per il nostro Team. Ed è proprio insieme a loro  che pianificheremo il futuro prossimo con la determinazione e con la modestia di chi sa sa che è solo con il duro lavoro che si ottengono i risultati di prestigio.

Voglio ringraziare lo Staff tecnico e voglio farlo senza un ordine particolare, ma random, senza pensarci su.

Da “Jack”, in arte, Giacomo Salamina sempre attento e concentrato. Pronto a mettere la sua competenza ed il suo lavoro al servizio degli atleti. 

A “Larry” Lorenzo Leopizzi che ha fatto un grandissimo lavoro come capo allenatore prima e come assistente dopo. La sua enorme bravura ed il suo profondo amore per la LSB, hanno attraversato le diverse fasi di una stagione dalle tante sfaccettature, ma esaltante per il risultato ottenuto. Grande!

Daniele Michelutti poi; cosa dire? Uomo ovunque, capace di “determinare” nelle diverse mansioni ricoperte. Non lo scopro certo io come allenatore, ma anche lui è cresciuto tantissimo strada facendo in modo evidente e determinante. Grande!

Credo che Larry, Daniele e Giacomo, si siano completati in modo perfetto, contribuendo a creare una “squadra” tecnica di valore assoluto, affiatata e soprattutto efficace.

Grazie anche alle due dottoresse Marta, Tario la fisioterapista e Lezzi la biologa nutrizionista.  Entrambe grandi professioniste e ragazze dal valore inestimabile per tutti noi. Insostituibili!

Poi voglio ringraziare i “miei” alfieri e amici dirigenti. La loro passione, il loro carattere e lo straordinario spirito di servizio, hanno consentito a tutti noi di vivere una stagione che non dimenticheremo.

Grazie con tutto il mio ♥️ a Cosimo Rollo, ad Antonio Martella, ad Antonio Savastano, a Francesco Gatto e a tutti gli altri amici, per il costante apporto risolutivo e per la loro splendida nota caratteriale. Come non ringraziare il nostro presidente onorario, Carlo Minafro, che da dietro le quinte ci ha dato un supporto molto importante per tutto l’arco della stagione. Fondamentali!

Grazie ai “nostri” due medici sociali: il dott. Sergio Romano e la dott.ssa Pina Buja ci hanno sostenuto e accompagnato al meglio per tutta la stagione. Imprescindibili!

Grazie a tutti voi giocatori.

Innanzitutto ai giovani Andrea Durini, Alessio Rollo, Francesco Calo’ e Simone Capoccia, Federico Santoro che, pur “vedendo il campo” poche volte, hanno dato un contributo fondamentale a questo gruppo. Essenziali!

Grazie a Manuele Mocavero, capitano perfetto, che vi/ci ha condotto come nessun altro nella galassia avrebbe potuto fare. E non parlo solo per quello che “spiega” ancora sul parquet come atleta. Determinante!

Grazie a Danilo Feruglio che ha giocato un campionato importante, con un rendimento di alto livello e che potrà solo contribuire a farlo crescere ancora tantissimo da tutti i punti di vista. Solido!

Bravo Laurynas Balkunas che al suo primo anno lontano da casa, ha dato un contributo importantissimo al Team. Il suo atletismo di altissimo livello, ci ha dato quella freschezza importante su entrambe le metà campo di gioco. Volante!

Anche Arminas Kelmelis ha giocato un campionato positivo, ottimo nella prima fase, cosi’ come nella serie contro il Barletta. I suoi tiri “ignoranti” hanno spesso spezzato le gambe agli avversari. Fantasia pura al servizio della squadra!

Federico Durini è stata la nostra arma tecnica in più. A parte l’ultima gara assolutamente da incorniciare, ci ha dato sempre tanta tecnica e tanta gestione sana e razionale. Sontuoso!

Gianmarco Zezza e Andrea Castelluccio si sono passati il testimone nel corso della stagione: prima uno e poi l’altro, a causa di problemi fisici, hanno dato tantissimo a questo gruppo, in termini di difesa, rimbalzi e punti a referto. Solidi e polivalenti!

Simone Serio. Dopo tanti anni di lontananza dal campo, da Lui non ci si poteva attendere di più; ce l’ha messa tutta ed ha dato tantissimo alla squadra. In campo e fuori. Bravo!

Consentitemi di aver lasciato per ultimo Filippo Laudisa. Non è facile essere contemporaneamente compagno di squadra e figlio del presidente. Filippo ci riesce con naturalezza e alla grande e questo non va sottovalutato. Ha dato tutto in campo e "quel tutto" è stata certamente “tanta roba”. Fondamentale!

Grazie alle Istituzioni che ci sono state vicine. In primis al Comune di Lecce del sindaco Carlo Salvemini e dell’assessore allo sport Paolo Foresio. Quest’ anno, più che in passato, sono stati determinanti per le nostre attività. Grazie anche all’amministrazione provinciale con il delegato alle strutture sportive, Ing. Tony De Matteis, per l’attenzione riservataci.

Concludo “dulcis in fundo”, con un grazie a tutta la Comunità della LSB, sempre più vicina, presente al palazzetto e in tutte le altre manifestazioni organizzate, calda e… soprattutto amica. E’ proprio da questa “ricchezza” di umanità, fatta di persone, di famiglie, di atleti tesserati (oltre 350), che ripartiremo il prossimo anno. Anche se tantissime iniziative di eccellenza sono già in cantiere per il i mesi di giugno e luglio. Stay tuned!

Ora basta parlare. Chiudo solo dicendo che sono orgoglioso di tutti Voi. E sono felice di aver puntato su di Voi per un obiettivo storico per la LSB. Ho avuto ragione.

We are also C1: CCEN LSB LECCE in the top Apulian championship!

Decisive away victory in Barletta with the score of 64 to 73, which sanctions the passage to the only Serie C of the Lecce club.

With a clear path in the queue of the Regular Season, with 4 out of 4 first with Santa Rita Taranto and then with Muraglia Barletta, the boys from Lecce have achieved a historic goal for the LSB. Starting next year, Lecce will also be present in basketball that counts.

But now it's just time for celebrations and thanks.

Let's summarize with the message sent to the team and to the whole Team by Sandro Laudisa President of the LSB, which summarizes all the sensations and pride of a healthy and constantly growing sports community, which celebrates the transition to the first championship to an Apulian organization.

Well yes dear guys.

We accomplished the "MISSION", as defined from the beginning, with a net run of 4 wins out of 4 races in the postseason. Well done everyone.

I was struck by Daniele Michelutti's statement at the end of yesterday's match, when he said several times: "I would have liked to play 6 or 7 more games".

Yes, right thought, because when you play as a team, you suffer together, you fight together, you breathe together, playing becomes "the only thing that matters".

Together to win, of course!

Thanks to their support we were able to achieve this very important and historic goal for our team. Daniele Michelutti then; what to say? Man everywhere, able to "determine" in the various positions covered. I certainly don't discover him as a coach, but he too has grown a lot along the way in an evident and decisive way. Great!

I believe that Larry, Daniele and Giacomo complemented each other perfectly, helping to create a technical "team" of absolute value, close-knit and above all effective.

Thanks also to the two doctors Marta, Tario the physiotherapist and Lezzi the nutritionist biologist. Both great professionals and invaluable girls for all of us. Irreplaceable!

Then I want to thank “my” standard bearers and managing friends. Their passion, their character and the extraordinary spirit of service, have allowed all of us to experience a season that we will not forget.

First of all to the youngsters Andrea Durini, Francesco Calo' and Simone Capoccia who, despite "seeing the field" a few times, have made a fundamental contribution to this group. essential!

Well done to Laurynas Balkunas who, in his first year away from home, made a very important contribution to the team. His top-level athleticism gave us that important freshness on both halves of the pitch. Steering wheel!

Arminas Kelmelis also played a positive championship, excellent in the first phase, as well as in the series against Barletta. His "ignorant" shots often broke the opponents' legs. Pure fantasy at the service of the team!

Federico Durini was our extra technical weapon. Apart from the last race that absolutely deserves to be framed, he has always given us a lot of technique and a lot of sound and rational management. Sumptuous!

Gianmarco Zezza and Andrea Castelluccio passed the baton during the season: first one and then the other, unfortunately due to physical problems, gave a lot to this group, in terms of defense, rebounds and points on the scoresheet. Solid and versatile!

Simone Serio. After so many years away from the field, one could not expect more from him; he did his best and gave so much to the team. On and off the field. Good boy!

Let me leave Philip for last. It's not easy being a teammate and son of the president at the same time. Filippo succeeds naturally and brilliantly and this should not be underestimated. He gave everything on the pitch and that everything was certainly "a lot of stuff". Fundamental!

Thanks to the institutions that have been close to us. First of all to the Municipality of Lecce of the mayor Carlo Salvemini and the councilor for sport Paolo Foresio. This year, more than in the past, they have been decisive for our activities. Thanks also to the provincial administration with the delegate for sports facilities, Ing. Tony De Matteis, for the attention given to us.

I conclude “dulcis in fundo”, with a thank you to the whole LSB Community, ever closer, present at the arena and in all the other organized events, warm and… above all friendly. It is precisely from this humanity "wealth", made up of people, families, registered athletes (over 350), that we will start again next year. Even if many initiatives of excellence are already in the pipeline for the months of June and July.

Thats enough. I'll just close by saying that I'm proud of all of you. And I'm happy to have counted on you for a historic goal for the LSB. I was right. Your skill has rewarded these choices. And I'm happy about it!
